What is ICE▪BAN®?
ICE▪BAN® is a liquid ice melt product made with calcium chloride and brewers condensed solubles which enhance the melting capability of salt. It is available in two forms:
Winter Management Services of CT, LLC will deliver ICE▪BAN® to you in liquid form, pre-mixed bulk, or pre-treated bag, depending on your ice melt needs. ICE▪BAN® can be applied by spraying it directly onto the surface or spraying into bulk salt storage piles.
How does it work?
ICE▪BAN® works by lowering the freezing point of water, rather than working by heat through chemical exothermic reaction. This prevents snow and ice from bonding to the surface of the material to which it is applied. This de-icer saves you money, reduces corrosive effects on your equipment, and saves labor hours in the field.

Environmentally Friendly
ICE▪BAN® liquid is environmentally friendly. When combined with rock salt, the brine is less corrosive to steel, asphalt, concrete, and equipment than untreated salt. Also, the pure liquid has no adverse effects on the surrounding area’s eco-system.
Sand is cheap. However, the damage to infrastructure and the cost to re-claim the sand in the spring is expensive. The bonding effect of ICE▪BAN® to the applied surface results in fewer repeated applications of the product.
